History

UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia is a private university founded in 1996 with a clear mission: to provide students with the knowledge and skills to serve society, to contribute to the further expansion of human knowledge through research and development, and to participate in the Evangelical mission of the Catholic Church in the areas of education and culture.

Education

The Catholic University of Saint Anthony (UCAM), is characterized by offering students an integral education based on the combination of in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge, in addition to a values-based education rooted in the principles of Christian humanism. Renowned professors and a team of personal tutors keep track of their students from the beginning of their studies until the end, always with the aim of providing tools to improve their student's performance, while strengthening their education.

Research

Its mission is to promote and foster University research activities, making it easy and accessible for our researchers to participate in research projects and transferring knowledge and technology to businesses and society.

We offer tailor-made training services to our researchers, as well as different internship packages (Graduate Research Scholarship; Pre-doctorate Research Scholarship, etc.)

We also offer advice and management services related to funding opportunities for R&D projects.

Research Result Transfer Office (OTRI): Its purpose is to coordinate University-Society-Business partnership, by transferring knowledge and technology generated by UCAM researchers towards society and businesses. The OTRI manages research collaborations agreements.

Career

The Catholic University San Antonio puts significant effort into increasing the employability of recent graduates. Currently, the percentage of students finding a job after graduation lies at 86% in total.

Housing services

UCAM has created a housing database, available to all international students, as well as members of the educational community, to facilitate their search for housing. International Admissions Staff will assist you to find the right accommodation to suit your needs.

You can see all active housing offers and requests and it will present the best options according to your criteria. All this information is available free in our Students Information Service (SIE).

Library services

The library of the Catholic University of Murcia has expanded the range of its books relating to advertising, graphic design and communication. Centro de Documentación Publicitaria donated books and highly acclaimed published case studies for the students to learn more on the frameworks and different cases in their chosen discipline. 

ICT services

The Mac room is equipped with 30 Macs, the best equipment for graphic design, layout, editing and video performance. This space is also used to teach courses on developing applications for IOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPodTouch). The Apple room was a bet from UCAM to provide our students with the best equipment, so they can receive high quality training. 

Medical services

As part of being duly enrolled at UCAM, students are automatically insured while on campus and engaging in study-related activities. 

EU Citizens are also health insured in their leisure time here in Spain, based on an EU agreement among its member states. All Non-EU Citizens are strongly encouraged to obtain private health insurance valid for the duration of their stay in Europe. 

Campus life

Here, students can find bright and wide classrooms, a library, auditoriums, meeting and work offices, freely accessible computers, multimedia and language facilities as well as labs, television, and radio studios. For anyone interested, UCAM offers an interactive way of exploring Los Jerónimos Campus through the Campus Tour. 

The Monastery of Los Jerónimos (18c.) is located in a lovely, peaceful, quiet and well connected environment, together with its baroque church, which was declared National Historic-Artistic Monument, currently home of San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM). On this website you can find all the important areas of the Campus.

Sports facilities

Located in La Noria Shopping Center, UCAM Sports Center offers you 3,000 square feet facilities. Students can get fit in our fitness room, possibly the largest in the region of Murcia, with the highest level technology Technogym. This Sport Center has qualified instructors with a degree of Science in Physical Education and Sport.

  • The stadium where the Catholic University of Murcia FC will play this season is 'La Condomina', located in the heart of the city of Murcia.
  • The Palacio Municipal de Deportes of Murcia is a Sports Hall situated in Avenida del Rocío, in the area known as las Atalayas. Its facilities are used for high level sport events.

UCAM is accredited by ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain) as well as by the Ministry of Education with regards to 17 of its undergraduate degrees.
