The International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn (IUBH) was the first university of applied sciences in Europe to offer a three-year course in International Aviation Management. Our students can therefore profit greatly from our excellent contacts to professionals involved in daily practice, as well as from our high level of competence in this sector!

Course Content

The Aviation Certificate is an attendance course over a period of one semester and consists of two modules.

Every participant takes a basic module with the following courses:

Airline Business Models - 2 ETCS
Introduction to Aviation Management - 3 ETCS
Aviation Project I - 3 ETCS

The participants also take one additional optional module and can choose between the following:

Option I - Policy Module

Aviation Economics & Policy - 3 ETCS
International Aviation Policy & Institutions - 2 ETCS

Option II - Airport Module

Airport Management - 3 ETCS
Ground Service - 2 ETCS

Option III - Cargo Module

Air Cargo Management - 3 ETCS
Logistics for Integrators - 2 ETCS

Option IV - Advanced ModuleFor the Enrolment in this module there are requirements which will be checked by our faculty for every certificate participant

Yield Management - 4 ETCS
Network Management - 4 ETCS

Tuition is carried out partly in the form of lectures and partly in seminar style.

Requirements for Aviation

To take part in the Aviation Certificate you need:

  • Proficiency in English and
  • Initial experience in the aviation industry.
