The World Trade Institute (WTI) is a centre of advanced studies and a forum for interdisciplinary research and teaching in international trade law and economics, fostering interaction between students and professionals, and allowing researchers and practitioners to pool their expertise.
The interdisciplinary centre of the Universities of Bern (Switzerland) provides teaching, training, consulting and research in the field of International Trade Regulation. The WTI flagship academic programme is the Master of International Law and Economics (MILE). The WTI offers an annual Summer Academy as well as a Summer Programme on Intellectual Property in joint cooperation with the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Furthermore, the WTI hosts the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) on Trade Regulation. It shares its premises with the Department of Economic Law and induces close cooperation between these institutions.
