Grenoble: an international centre for Micro and Nanotechnologies, the MINATEC campus is unlike any other research facility in Europe.

This innovating program will take place in Grenoble in collaboration with EPFL Lausanne and Politecnico di Torino. Those partners will organise a special campus and premises visit during your stay.

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology is an emerging domain of engineering and science, at the interface between Physics, Biology and Chemistry, leading to several innovations in the area of Material and Electronics engineering.

The aim of this summer school is to present some of the critical aspects of this area, taking advantage of the recognized expertize of Grenoble laboratories and industries in this field:

  • NanoElectronics, and the challenge of processing ultimate integrated circuit,
  • NanoPhysics, and the fascinating properties of matter at nanoscale (electron transport and forces),
  • NanoBiosciences and the physics of living cell and molecule in interaction with solid state surface and devices,
  • NanoMagnetism from growth of nanostructures to the applications in magnetic memories, reading heads, microwave devices.
  • Management of innovation in Micro & Nanotechnologies
  • NanoEthics
  • Microsystems

Contents

A 5-week program in Nanotechnologies

  • Science courses (57 hours) (given by experts of Minatec Research Centre, Grenoble INP, Politecnico di Torino and EPFL Lausanne)
  • Séminar nano Ethic
  • Lab work (16 hours) @ CIME Nanotech plaform (a set of 8 technological platforms unique in Europe, dedicated to training and research in the fields of Microelectronics and Nanotechnology)
  • Intercultural courses (15 hours)
  • International Week-End, Outdoor activities, oenology classes (Wines "Tour de France"...)

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
