This course will provide an introduction in the world of assistive technology (AT) and its potential to support patients as well as therapists. The focus in this summer course will be on AT associated to examination, therapeutic interventions and daily support on mobility and ambulation related aspects. You will follow an intensive program and get the chance to collaborate with other foreign students. During the summer course you will visit some health institutes, research centers, and suppliers of AT in The Netherlands. Some of our partners are world leaders in their area and show unique, high tech products! Furthermore you will learn about ethical aspects, the use of games and virtual reality and get information about financial aspects related to AT.
We have planned to give you the opportunity not only to get acquaintance to AT in a theoretical way, but also to experience the use of it in a practical and active way
This is a full time, two weeks course. Most days, the program will last from 9 AM untill 5 PM. On days that we will visit institutes or enterprises we may start earlier or end later, due to travel time.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testStudents or recent graduates in allied health studies, interested in the possibilities of Assistive Technology in mobility related problems

Responsibility for accreditation lies with the Netherlands-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO).
