The aim of the course is to enable participants to perform scientific data processing en Excel and to use Excel together with other software tools for processing and presentation of medical scientific data.

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet calculation program used to process data in a variety of forms. Raw data may be transformed and depictured in graphs and/or tables. The course will include interpretation of equation architecture and simple programming principles. The focus will be on practical examples to illustrate the work with biomedical research data. Themes like data collection, -format, -import, -export and statistics will be discussed.
The function and quality of tables and graphs will be evaluated and examples produced. A short introduction to macros and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) will be given.
In the practical´s, each participant will produce informative graphs on the basis of data sources made available for participants on a CD. The participants are encouraged to bring or send materials it to the course leader, so that the course can be as useful as possible.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
